Pink, green, and blue, the fairies are a dirty version of The Powerpuff Girls. Or Totally Spies. Or Sleeping Beauty. Or any animated trio of color-associated girls. Rose (pink) is the overachieving, intelligent leader. Ivy (green) is the sarcastic tomboy. Bluebell (blue) is baby.
They may seem like they’re there to help Kem, but in the end the fairies are revealed to be not creatures of light, but Queen Mara’s demonic minions. Our first clue as to this is when we see the same colors as the fairies (pink, green, blue) on the jewels in Mara’s crown, which also match the jewels on Kem’s sword, Speranta.
